where will my payment be used?

So where will your payment actually go? Good question.

Each day, we’ll effectively put all payments from carbonpaid customers into an interest-earning offset account. And we’ll hold them securely until we’ve accrued enough money to gain critical buying power and can purchase carbon credits at far better prices than you could as an individual.

Once a quarter we’ll use all the funds accumulated in the offset account to purchase carbon credits in relation to selected projects from the world’s main traders - since we intend buying in bulk we’ll be able to negotiate great deals. We’ll take advice on which offsetting projects around the world represent the best value for money – and best benefits – when we’re ready to buy.

As a carbonpaid customer you can rest assured that your money will go wherever it’s most useful at the time: buying carbon credits at the best possible price to help finance a selection of the world’s offsetting projects. Needless to say, we’ll be fully accountable and will report back to you on this site to let you know how your money’s been used.
